Character Spotlight: Alice

Yay! Finally I'm putting up Character Spotlights for the characters of Alice & Alyssa! It took me some time to find perfect pictures of everyone...and please, if you find better ones, give me the link! But now, without further ado, I give you:

ALICE:
the reluctant adventurer

 ~Most Likely to Say Something Along These Lines:

“What were you thinking? Now we’re all gonna die!”
~Description of Character:

Alice is the slightly younger twin. She has a quirky sense of humor, and hates getting up in the morning, especially if it’s cold outside. She tends to have her own ideas about how people should get things done, and prefers to go into things slowly after thinking over everything beforehand. Though she tends to think that every silver lining has a black cloud behind it, and that rain comes more often than sunshine, Alice still enjoys life even when it isn’t obvious. She would prefer to stay home, curled up in a couch with a good book than go on adventures, but when crazy things happen, she’s often in the thick of it whether she wants to be or not. With much better hand writing than her sister and pristine spelling and grammar, but a far less active imagination, she is the designated writer of the book that they are working on together.
~Book Excerpt(s):

Alyssa blinked, rolled over in her bunk, and slid out of bed. Above her, Alice groaned and sat up.

“What are you doing getting up so early?” She mumbled.

Alyssa grinned up at her sleepy-eyed twin. “I always like to get up early and enjoy the day while it’s new! Why don’t you come on my walk with me?”

Alice shivered at the thought. “Not me! You go ahead and walk in the freezing morning air; I’m staying in my warm bed!”

Alyssa laughed. “Have it your own way, sleepyhead!” Alice merely buried herself back in her blankets, and Alyssa stepped quietly outside.

*********************************************

Alice moaned again, tried to get up, and then fell back onto her back. “The next time someone tells me that riding a horse is fun, I’m going to laugh at them.”

“Once your muscles get used to it you’ll be able to enjoy it more,” Alyssa answered, giving her twin an encouraging grin. “Right now it’ll seem like torture, but once a couple days have gone by you’ll be riding with the best of us. And having fun while you’re at it,” she added.

“A couple more days!” Alice covered her face with her hands. “I’m gonna die!”
